Global Travel Alliance is committed to living sustainably through our business practices and actions as individuals. We strive to be an example to staff, students and others on how best to reduce our carbon footprint and live sustainably on the planet we all share.

Travel Green
Caring about the places we visit and the people who live there is not only the right thing to do – it is our responsibility. Whether we call it eco-toursim, sustainable tourism or green travel the basic premise is that let’s travel light and not damage the landscapes, cultures, and wildlife we visit. We have the first step towards becoming a green traveler taken care of for you. We make sure the businesses we work with at any destination support sustainable tourism business practices. When preparing for your Gtrek, we encourage you to follow these easy cost-effective green travel tips:
- Turn off your electronic devices at home before leaving for your trip
- Pack light and with eco-friendly clothing and travel gear made from recycled, reused, organic, and sustainable natural materials such as cotton, hemp, and bamboo
- Purchase souvenirs not made from endangered species
- Bring a refillable water bottle (make sure it is empty before going through airport security)
- Pack your conservation/environmental ethic; do the things you do at home such as recycling, turning off lights and conserving water when you are away from home
