Sample Itinerary

Day 1

  • Arrival in San Antonio! Welcome and orientation with our guide.
  • Afternoon walking tour of Paseo Del Rio or “River Walk,” designed in 1939 as part of FDR’s Works Projects Administration.
  • Later in the afternoon we will visit Mercado-Market Square, a Mexican market with crafts, culture, food and music.
  • In the evening we will go on a narrated boat tour of San Antonio!

Day 2

  • Guided sightseeing of San Antonio including the Old Town, Franciscan missions, and Governor’s Palace.
  • In the afternoon will visit the Alamo, the mission defended by a small Texan army against the troops of Mexican general Santa Anna.
  • We will also visit Misión de San Jose, the largest of the region’s original five missions.
  • Evening visit to Brackenridge Park with their Japanese Tea Garden.

Day 3

  • Full day at Six Flags Fiesta San Antonio!
  • Enjoy a day of unlimited attractions and fun.
  • Depart late in the afternoon for home.

Day 1

  • Arrive in Seattle for a walking tour of Seattle Center.
  • We will also visit the Space Needle with a 42-second ride to the top, and spend some time at the world famous Pike’s Place fish market and other areas along the waterfront.
  • Visit the Experience Music Project, an interactive music museum, in the afternoon.

Day 2

  • Travel to Olympic National Park and the Olympic mountains.
  • Spend the day on the Olympic peninsula, visiting Hurricane Ridge and exploring the Olympic National Forest, the only rain forest in the lower forty-eight states.
  • Travel by ferry to Victoria, British Columbia after dinner.

Day 3

  • Morning tour of Victoria.
  • Experience British Royalty firsthand as we visit the Royal London Wax Museum, the Empress Hotel, and various other sites on this beautiful island that many call “more British than Britain.”
  • A Zodiac boat ride/marine wildlife tour will also be part of the day’s activities.
  • We will also tour the Royal British Columbia Museum and take part in an IMAX show.
  • Late afternoon ferry to Friday Harbor on the San Juan Islands.
  • Look out for whales in the evening as we watch the sunset and have dinner on the beach.

Day 4

  • Nestled in the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the waters surrounding the San Juan Islands are home to abundant orca whales, sea otters, and beautiful marine birds.
  • This morning we will get to explore this area by sea kayaks!
  • Free time for exploring and shopping in Friday Harbor.
  • In the afternoon travel by ferry to Anacortes and make our way back to Seattle/Tacoma.
  • Dinner en route.

Day 5

  • In the morning, depart for our flight home

Day 1

  • Depart for Denver
  • Transfer by private charter bus to our lodge at Estes Park in the Rockies.
  • Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest surround Estes Park with spectacular mountain scenery, abundant wildlife, and miles of hiking trails. This is one of the more beautiful places in all the Rockies!

Days 2, 3

  • Our base these two days will be spent at a mountain lodge in Estes Park.
  • There will be lots of activity options including horseshoe, roller skating, mini-golf, basketball, volleyball, tennis, a game room and pool, museum, and more.
  • We will also go horseback riding, use a climbing wall, and work together as a team on the ropes and challenge course.
  • A white water rafting trip is also scheduled (Dependent upon snowmelt and weather conditions.)

Day 4

  • Transfer to Colorado Springs area.
  • Visit Manitou Springs and ride the Manitou and Pike’s Peak Railway (The world’s highest cog railroad and the highest railroad in the United States).
  • Take in the spectacular sandstone rock formations against a backdrop of the snowcapped Pike’s Peak with a Garden of the Gods tour.

Day 5

  • Travel to Canon City south of Colorado Springs and spend a full day at Royal Gorge Bridge & Park.
  • Cross the world’s highest bridge!
  • Activities include the Ariel Tram, incline railroad, and the Wapiti Western Wildlife Park.

Day 6

  • Depart for home after a visit to downtown Denver

Day 1

  • Depart in the morning and arrive Las Vegas in late morning.
  • Board our private bus and depart for Zion National Park.
  • Time to explore some of the stunning canyons and rock formations in the area.

Day 2

  • After some additional time in Zion, make our way to Bryce National Park.
  • Check into a country inn situated right next door to the national park. With indoor and outdoor pools, and a host of outdoor activities, it is a perfect place from which to enjoy one of the most spectacular areas in all of North America!
  • Late afternoon/early evening hike in the stunning Bryce Canyons.
  • Horseback ride along trails followed by the outlaw Butch Cassidy!
  • Shopping at the largest store in the area – Ruby’s General Store.
  • Optional guided ATV ride. (Approx $30).

Day 3

  • Early departure for Page.
  • Along the way stop at Grand Escalante Staircase National Monument where additional hiking opportunities may be available.
  • Continue to drive to Page overlooking Lake Powell.
  • Spend the afternoon on the beach and kayaking.
  • Bonfire roasting marshmallows on the shore at Lone Rock.
  • Trip to Antelope Canyon with a Navajo guide and eat Indian Tacos, listen to flute music, and other cultural activities. – This is a highlight of the trip!

Day 4

  • Take a 4-hour float trip from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Ferry.
  • Following our river adventure depart for the Grand Canyon!
  • Stop for pictures at the Desert View point on the South Rim.
  • Scenic drive along the South Rim following by an exhilarating hike on the Bright Angel trail into the Grand Canyon.
  • In the evening travel to Flagstaff, Arizona where we will spend the night.

Day 5

  • Travel to Phoenix for our flight home

 

Day 1

  • Arrive in Billings, Montana – home of the Global Travel Alliance headquarters!
  • Spend the afternoon exploring Pompey’s Pillar National Monument
  • See the only remaining physical evidence of the Lewis & Clark Expedition appearing on the trail as it did 200 years ago

Day 2

  • Cowboy up! What would a trip to Montana be like without a horseback ride?
  • We will spend the day on the Diamond Hanging Seven Ranch in the Pryor Mountains on the Crow Indian reservation.
  • Opportunity for horseback rides and other ranch activities abound!
  • That evening, return to Billings for one last night.

Day 3

  • In the morning we will travel to Big Horn Canyon, one of Montana’s best kept secrets.
  • We will travel deep into the canyon on pontoon boats with massive cliffs on our sides that can go as high as 2000 feet!
  • In the afternoon we will travel to the Little Bighorn Battlefield and Museum, the site of George Armstrong Custer’s defeat by Sioux and Cheyenne warriors.
  • Later in the day, we will view a live reenactment of the battle!

Day 4

  • Morning departure from Billings to travel to Bozeman, Montana and a visit to the Museum of the Rockies.
  • Learn about the rich natural and cultural history of America’s Northern Rocky Mountains.
  • View the permanent exhibit that takes you 4.6 billion years ago to the past 200 years of Montana history.
  • In the afternoon we will drive to West Yellowstone and visit the Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery Center.
  • Here you will get a chance to view live grizzlies and wolves and get a fascinating glimpse into their world and a better understanding of the Yellowstone ecosystem.

Day 5

  • Today we will tour the lower loop of Yellowstone National Park.
  • We will start in Fire Hole Canyon and view Fire Hole Falls.
  • You may want to take a short hike and view the fountain paint pots.
  • Continuing on, we will drive to Old Faithful for lunch and time to view the geyser erupt.
  • You may want to take a short easy hike to view other geysers in the area before we travel across the continental divide to Yellowstone Lake.
  • The highlight of our day will be our visit to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and viewing of the Upper and Lower Falls.

Day 6

  • Our second day in Yellowstone Park will be spent on the Northern Loop.
  • This part of the park is known for its wide variety of wildlife and scenic terrain.
  • We will spend the morning viewing Mammoth Hot Springs.
  • That evening, we will travel to Red Lodge, Montana, in the heart of the Beartooth Mountains.

Day 7

  • Today we will spend the morning exploring the town of Red Lodge and the beautiful mountains surrounding the city.
  • In the afternoon, we will go white water rafting (depends on water flow).
  • That evening, we will return to Billings.

Day 8

  • After seven life-changing days, depart for home

Day 1

  • Fly into Los Angeles.
  • Visit Hollywood Boulevard, Avenue of the Stars, Sunset Strip, and Beverly Hills.

Day 2

  • Visit Universal Studios and get a true behind-the-scenes movie-making experience on a visit to Universal Studios.
  • See classic movie sets and experience a simulated earthquake.
  • Spend some time visiting the exclusive boutiques on Rodeo Drive.

Day 3

  • Head to Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm or Disneyland for a full day at one of these amazing theme parks.

Day 4

  • Spend the day at Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier!

Day 5

  • Do some last minute shopping at the Farmer’s Market and then depart for home

This flexible itinerary includes:

  • 1 admission to GRAD BASH at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure
  • A two-day park hopper admission to all four Walt Disney World theme parks
  • A visit to Downtown Disney for souvenir shopping and sightseeing
  • A visit to Daytona Beach (one of Florida’s Top Ten beaches)
