The Frosty Frontier
Science group and student trips to the American West: nobody does it better than us.
Montana has been called “the last best secret.” A most simple explanation as to why is this: Montana ranks 43rd in overall population (989,000) and 4th in overall land area (147,000 sq miles). That’s a lot of elbow room.
Especially for skiers.
A neighboring state like Colorado is well known for it’s multitude of lavish ski resorts like Aspen (host of the 2013 Winter X Games), Vail, and Breckenridge. Utah also houses it’s own all-star ski slopes like Alta, Park City, and Snowbird. Lift tickets here can burn a hole in your pocket for more than $100/day, and lift wait times might burn a hole in your watch an hour at a time.
So check out the video below, courtesty of visitmt.com, to find out why Montana might take the cake for the overall best places to enjoy some fresh winter pow.
